SPC stands for Stone Plastic Composite — a rigid-core flooring made from natural limestone powder and virgin polymers with zero wood fiber. It is 100% waterproof, impervious to moisture, and dimensionally stable in East Africa equatorial climate, meaning it will never warp, cup, swell, or peel even in bathrooms, kitchens, or ground floors with damp concrete.
SPC has an ultra-dense limestone core, making it significantly harder, more dent-resistant, and better at bridging minor subfloor imperfections than flexible vinyl (LVT). Unlike traditional laminate, which has a wood-fiber core that swells when exposed to water, SPC is 100% impervious to water and liquids.
SPC flooring is priced per square meter based on plank thickness, wear-layer specification, subfloor preparation (such as self-leveling screed or concrete grinding), and required aluminium transition trims.
